If your intranet or website is based on Drupal, you may be facing a version change. This is especially urgent if you are still using Drupal 6, which is no longer receiving community support. Also for version 7 there are only updates and (free) security patches available until November 2022. Plan as early as possible whether you want to update or relaunch: If you are using Drupal 8, it makes sense to completely rebuild your platform, because many interfaces change and various modules from Drupal 7 are no longer available. In return, this version brings much more flexibility, stability and performance.
Interesting in this context: The step from Drupal 8 to (the already available) version 9 is not too big. On the basis of Drupal 8 you can continue to work without problems for a while, but support will end as early as November 2021. We recommend that you switch directly to Drupal 9 and thus create a long-term basis.
