Corporate Website for a Dynamic Business Strategy
The pharmaceutical company is distinguished by a consistent acquisition strategy: It acquires long-established, high-quality products and further develops them for the global market. CHEPLAPHARM currently holds over 3,250 drug approvals in more than 145 countries.
The dynamically growing company, headquartered in Greifswald, presents itself to its stakeholders on a TYPO3 platform—the launch of which we, as a digital agency, supported from conception through to technological implementation.
Global Target Audience Communication
With a focus on so-called specialty pharmaceuticals, CHEPLAPHARM invests in established pharmaceutical brands and niche products whose patent protection has expired. In doing so, the company ensures that many patients have access to the familiar medications they trust.
This strategy has driven sustained growth for CHEPLAPHARM: At the start of our collaboration in 2021, the company had just achieved the highest revenue in its history at 1.1 billion euros. That figure has since risen to over 1.5 billion euros. The corporate website plays a central role in communications with stakeholders.
A Triad of Concept, Design, and Technology
The platform’s relaunch was shaped by the interplay of user-centered concept development, design, and appropriate technology. To ensure we effectively reached our key target audiences, we followed user-centered design methodologies from the very first phase of the project.
CHEPLAPHARM’s newly developed corporate design is reflected in the visual and interaction design, which were created based on user stories. To deliver the best possible user experience for those interested in our products, investors, and job seekers, we organized the diverse content into a new structure.
On the technical side, we updated the website and implemented the latest version of TYPO3 as the technological foundation. To enable the editorial team to manage content independently, we trained the relevant staff members and developed a user manual for their content management.
A Scalable Platform for Specialty Pharma
Since its relaunch, the website has been expanded into a multisite platform. In addition to the country-specific sites for Switzerland and France, the Japanese website also went live in 2024. A notable feature is the Japanese-language TYPO3 backend, which is used as an internal approval and editorial system, including “Workspaces.” The products are also listed in the country-specific product database with integrated product news, enabling up-to-date product communication in the respective markets.
The corporate website cheplapharm.com has also evolved and now offers access to quarterly reports, presentations, and much more via an exclusive investor domain section.
Scalable and Sustainable
The CHEPLAPHARM platform showcases the pharmaceutical company’s core mission to the outside world: ensuring the availability of established, highly effective medications on the global market. The company gathers all relevant information for its target audiences and keeps it up to date using a modern content management system.
This flexible, high-performance platform will continue to support the company on its path of expansion in the coming years.
