New presentation app for Commerz Real
Inconsistent, not always CD-compliant and sometimes even outdated PowerPoint presentations cause problems for many organizations. The asset manager Commerz Real now employs an easy-to-use, tailor-made alternative: With the STYLEbook web app, employees can easily and quickly create individual presentations, show, share, and forward them on tablet or laptop or beamer. An editorial team prepares slide modules and sample presentations in corporate design, manages the internal image pool and publishes content updates.
We developed the custom application in close cooperation with our client according to the principles and methods of user centered design. This agile and creative process has been established since the Social Intranet project of Commerz Real, which we also supervised. To this end, we identified the requirements of the employees, the board of directors, and the clients. On this basis, we consistently defined the application using user stories. In the further course of the project, this resulted in an agile way - sprint by sprint - in the creation of a tool that is geared exclusively to the needs of the stakeholders. During the development phase, the customer took on the essential role of product owner and was thus able to control the result to a large extent.
In accordance with the requirements for a high-performance and scalable system, STYLEbook is based on a modern web app architecture (Angular). This enabled us to provide the customer with a long-term reliable platform that is directly available from his Social Intranet Com.In. A software installation on the user's computer is not necessary for working with STYLEbook.
The platform is continuously and agilely developed. The feedback of the users is the basis for the next steps.
